Ryan is currently a Senior Fire Investigator with Kodiak. Ryan started full time with Kodiak in January of 2003 after interning with the company for 3 years. Ryan's experience in investigating fires ranges from small single family dwellings to managing multi-million dollar commercial losses. He has investigated fires throughout the US, in 3 different countries and has successfully testified in depositions and state and federal courts. Ryan investigated a fire and testified in both a Daubert hearing and at trial in the defense of Charles Bryan (Click for verdict news coverage) who had been charged with Arson based on circumstantial and subjective evidence, and no factual evidence that the fire was intentionally set. Ryan is currently a Fire Captain on the Aboite Township Fire Department, Fort Wayne, IN. Ryan is Haz-Mat certified and also carries the NAFI- CFEI, IAAI-CFI and NFPA-CFPS designations.
